Local file Streaming via SMB sharing standard (SMBv2 and SMBv3) to access folders on your Home Media Server, Computer, Laptop, External Hard Drive...
On the left side of the File Browser your can find Local Network segment where you will find all your SMB connections which have network discovery turned ON.
Clicking on SMB entry, by default, it tries to login anonymously (as guest). But if you have Password sharing ON, it will ask for your Username and Password.
In case your Password sharing is OFF and you want to login as an User instead of a Guest, simply click on the 3 dots and choose Sign In.
There are several ways to clear credentials:
simply use empty credentials with Sign In,
or choose Guest,
or go to Global Settings / Privacy and clear it there.
Make sure you set up SMB & folder sharing for your operating system:
Linux (Ubuntu)
SMBv1 is not supported, make sure to enable SMBv2 and SMBv3 on your storage device.
