This is what Commedia was built around and its showing. You should be able to play videos smoothly and efficiently. Our main engineer is hacking pipelines so well that he got offers to fix Nord Stream.

Stability
We test as thoroughly as possible, but surely, some issues may be missed. Beta channel is utilized to give a week or two of a buffer for extra safety before release.
If you come across a bug, please follow the steps in our Support section. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

User Experience
Using Commedia, you should feel right at home. However, there are some new approaches that stray away from classical web UX. You can find these neatly presented in the UX Design section.
Connectivity
We are well on a way to cover all the popular way people stream media locally. DLNA and SMB give users plenty of comfort, let us know what would you like added next!

Planned
In its current form, the Player works with video files only. Picture and audio support is planned. However, media encompasses much more. We are excited for technologies like Gaussian Splatting—definitely something to watch for in the future.
Commedia is based on ExoPlayer. Check its format support here.
